CT2 Countertop RO Water Dispenser: Installation Guide

Plug-and-play setup for the CT2 Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier Dispenser — no plumbing, no tools, no licensed installer required.

The CT2 is designed to be installed by the end user in about 30–45 minutes. If you can place it on a counter, fill a tank, and plug in a cord, you can install it. This guide covers the CT2 (all configurations: Ambient, Ambient + Cold, and Ambient + Hot) from unboxing through first dispense.

Before you begin, confirm your CT2 model and included accessories against the packing list and the user manual supplied in the box.

Step 1: Unbox and Verify the SKU

Open the box and confirm the contents against the packing list:

1. Host unit (including two original filter cartridges)
2. Instruction manual
3. Water tray

Check the label and packing list against the SKU you ordered — Ambient, Ambient + Cold, or Ambient + Hot. Keep the serial number and packaging until commissioning is complete.

Step 2: Install the PPC and RO Filter Cartridges

The CT2 uses two cartridges: the PPC (PP + AC) cartridge for sediment and chlorine, and the RO cartridge for heavy metals and dissolved contaminants.

1. Open the raw-water tank cover.
2. Remove the raw-water tank and set it on a flat surface — this gives you access to the filter bay.
3. Take the PPC cartridge and insert it into its filter base. Rotate clockwise until the alignment marks on the cartridge and base match.
4. Insert the RO cartridge the same way, rotating clockwise until the marks align.
5. Return the raw-water tank to the rear of the unit and close the cover.

The system will not operate normally if the tanks or filters are not fully seated. If a cartridge was already installed in the factory, still confirm it is rotated to the locked position.

Step 3: Fill the Raw-Water Tank

1. Lift the raw-water tank upward and out of the rear dock.
2. Fill it with municipal tap water up to the maximum level indicator (the tank capacity is 5 L / 1.3 gal).
3. Place the tank back into the rear of the product and close the raw-water tank cover.

The CT2 uses an external 5 L raw-water tank + internal pure-water tank (2 L for Ambient and Hot configurations; a 1 L pitcher for the Cold configuration). If the raw-water tank is not positioned correctly, the machine will not start.

Step 4: Power On and Run the First-Use Flush

1. Insert the power cord into a grounded outlet. The unit will beep and the display panel and touch keys will light up — standby mode.
2. On first use, the system detects the water replacement sensor and performs an automatic 30-second flush.
3. Because bubbles, particles, and a slightly off taste are normal with new cartridges, you must flush the system 3–5 times before drinking:
   1. Fill the tank with 5 L of water and let the unit run until the water-making indicator turns off.
   2. Hold the Flush button for 5 seconds — water discharges continuously for about 5 minutes until the pure-water tank is empty.
   3. Pour out the remaining raw water and refill the tank.
   4. Repeat steps (a)–(c) for a total of 3–5 flush cycles.

Discard all water from the flush cycles. Do not drink it.

After each normal production cycle, the unit automatically flushes for 18 seconds. You can also tap the Flush button at any time to run a 60-second manual flush; tap it again to stop.

Step 5: Dispense Water

1. Tap the Volume button to choose Half Cup or Full Cup. The corresponding icon will flash. (First startup defaults to Half Cup.)
2. While the icon is flashing, tap Dispense. The unit dispenses the selected volume and stops automatically.
3. To stop mid-dispense, tap the Dispense button again.

When the pure-water tank runs low, the Volume button flashes and dispensing is disabled until the next production cycle completes. Refill the raw-water tank as needed — when it runs low, the Replace Water indicator flashes; if the tank is removed or misplaced, the indicator stays on and the buzzer alerts you.

Note: except on first power-up, adding water alone will not exit Replace Water mode. You must fill the tank and remove it to exit the mode.

Daily Startup Routine

For ongoing use, the sequence is simple:

1. Confirm the raw-water tank is filled and seated.
2. Press the power button; the panel lights up and enters standby.
3. Select your volume and tap Dispense.
4. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the unit dims to standby — tap any button to wake it.

If the unit has not been used for an extended period, repeat the draining + 3–5 flush cycles (Step 4) before drinking to ensure freshness.

Draining Mode (Extended-Idle Cleaning)

Draining mode is intended for cleaning the pure-water tank after long idle periods:

1. Hold the Flush button for 5 seconds. The buzzer beeps once and the Flush icon lights up.
2. The system continuously dispenses room-temperature water until the tank is empty.
3. The system auto-exits draining mode after a 60-second delay.
